Fiction

SAN SEBASTIAN

When a Christian faces the dilemma of choosing between God and Caesar, between saving their life or their soul, how will they respond? This is the true story of Saint Sebastian, a man who remained faithful to Christ and his conscience rather than bowing to the world. A handful of incense can have eternal consequences.

PAUL OF TARSUS

From a dark cell, two elderly men await their death, sentenced for their beliefs and way of life. Saul, a Roman citizen, former Pharisee, with a Hellenistic education and a convert to the ‘new way,’ reveals, through a retrospective of his life, the early moments of the followers of Jesus, the man who has changed the world. Paul of Tarsus will introduce his fellow prisoners to a new world, another way of understanding existence through faith, hope, and love. In this film, the Apostle of the Gentiles paints with his memories and words the changing horizon where the seed of the Gospel has begun to germinate. This is the final journey of a man who tirelessly traveled the known world and would become the greatest promoter of the Good News.

A FORBIDDEN GOD

The historical moment of the martyrdom of 51 members of the Claretian Community of Barbastro (Huesca), during the summer of 1936 at the start of the Spanish Civil War, is narrated from the human and religious perspective of the people involved in this event, highlighting the triumph of love over death.

THE APOSTLE

Akim is a young Muslim living in France with his family. Everyone expects him to become an Imam, like his uncle. But something has happened inside him that challenges him to change his life: he has converted to Christianity. Amidst this internal turmoil, Akim must face his family, friends, and especially his brother, who refuses to accept his conversion. But in the midst of all this, the young man meets others who live in similar circumstances and is determined to fight for the acceptance of his new situation through his testimony of faith and forgiveness. Based on a true story.

THE THORN OF GOD

The people of Israel remain under Roman domination. A small group of men begins to preach the coming of the Kingdom. Their leader, Rabbi Jesus of Nazareth, inspires hope in their hearts; his message is one of love and hope, though not everyone understood it. This is the story of thirteen men who embarked on an extraordinary journey destined for Eternity. The film narrates the three years of Jesus of Nazareth’s ministry from the perspective of his apostles. For the first time, the camera enters the group. How did these men experience the Revelation of the Messiah? We witness the tensions and joys common to any human group, Simon Peter’s farewell to his wife, the apostle’s birthday celebrated with all his companions. Welcome to History. Welcome to The Thorn of God.
